I am a local Cornish artist having spent most of my life growing up in Saltash, I then studied and lived in Falmouth, graduating in BTEC Art and design at Falmouth College of Arts which I completed in 1999. I then went on to do a BA (Hons) Fine Art at Plymouth University which was completed in 2002.
Followed by a Masters in Illustration at Kingston University London in 2003. Since completing my degrees I have worked for the Financial Times as an Editorial Illustrator and have exhibited my paintings throughout Devon and Cornwall.
The paintings I produce are about scale and the vastness of the landscape, with a forever disappearing horizon line, which you never seem to reach. I work with Arcylic on canvas and apply the paint thickly with lots of texture adding dimension in the painting itself as well as the beauty of the image.
I hope you enjoy what you see.
