Nicola Crabb

Mesmerised by the process of working with hot glass, I use the transparent depth of this material as a 3D canvas to explore and express my ideas of concept. I am artistically drawn towards natural form and shape, and the molten qualities and flow of the glass enables me to explore these ideas.

A BA(hons) ‘Hot Glass’ graduate of Plymouth College of Art  I have very much continued my practice and work with a number of artists locally as well as promoting the learning of the crafts within my workplace and local villages.

I continually attempt to move forwards with my work, whether this may be within a sketch book, perfecting the form of a piece, or developing conceptual ideas into functional or sculptural collections. Seeing, feeling, designing and developing is really the key to my passion for making.
