Entirely self‐taught, I have found great solace and self‐belief from going it alone.
My aim is to be completely original, to capture the true character of the subject in a way that is free and full of life.
My greatest artistic inspirations are Ken Paine and my father, though my style ultimately owes much to a free and varied upbringing as the sixth of seven sons, I have always loved the outdoors, I grew up in North Devon, ran around on Exmoor, climbed trees and generally had a jolly old time!
Every August we would drive to the West of Ireland and visit extended family and friends in Connemara, Mayo and Donegal, swim in the freezing seas, build rafts and somehow survive!
It was a full and imaginative upbringing for which I will always be grateful and which I hope will always be the heart of how I see the world around me.
I hope you can follow me in the years to come, there is much to do!
